Daniel J. Mayfield, a native New Mexican, is a graduate of Albuquerque High School, UNM (BBA) and New Mexico Highlands University (MBA). He is a US Air Force Veteran and a Certified Government Financial Manager (CGFM).
He retired from Bernalillo County in 2011 after 22 years as Deputy County Manager - Finance (Chief Financial Officer). During his tenure he was honored with the New Mexico Distinguished Public Service Award and was recognized with many awards for his financial management at Bernalillo County.
His recent election to the New Mexico Public Employees Retirement Association Board (PERA) continues his goal to support retiree concerns. His recent volunteer activities include the New Mexico Retiree Healthcare Authority (secretary-treasurer), Rio Grande Credit Union (Chair - Supervisory Committee) and Retired Public Employees of New Mexico Board (RPENM).

James Maxon serves as the Fire Chief for the Sandoval County Fire Department and has been in the fire service for 23 years. Chief Maxon previously served with the New Mexico State Fire Marshal Office, Santa Fe County Fire Department, and is a U.S. Air Force Fire Protection Veteran.
He graduated from the University of New Mexico School of Public Administration with a Masters of Public Administration (MPA), has a Bachelors Degree in Business Management, and an Associate's Degree in Fire Science. He was recognized as the New Mexico Fire Officer of the Year in 2012 for his leadership. He received a leadership award from the City of Santa Fe Fire Department in 1999. He was named Airman of the Year in 1995 for Kirtland AFB 377 CEG and nominated for the Top Twelve Airman in the Air Force Award.
He is the Chairman of the Sandoval County Regional Emergency Communications Center Board of Directors, CO-Chair of the United Way Sandoval County Rural Committee, Vice Chair of the Albuquerque Metro Fire Chiefs, and a member of the Sandoval County Health Council. He is the former President of Santa Fe Crime Stoppers, was Charter Member of the Rio Rancho Rotary Club, and a past member of the Santa Fe DWI Planning Council.
He was a member of the original committee at the National Fire Academy that formed a model curriculum for an Associate's Degree in Fire Science in 1999. The degree program is now in use throughout the United States.
He joined the PERA Board to make sure the retirement system for all New Mexico State and Local Employees stays solvent for current and future generations.

Jackie has worked for the State of New Mexico for 21 years and is currently an auditor for the New Mexico Tax and Revenue Department in Albuquerque. Jackie has a BA in information technology, an MBA in global management and is a doctoral candidate in organizational management. Jackie also volunteers her time providing income tax, property management, business development assistance, and a board member for several community organizations.

John J. Reynolds, an economist with the PRC, had more than 25 years of experience in physical and financial commodity markets before he came to New Mexico in 2006.
After earning a BA in Linguistics and an MBA in Finance from the University of Rochester in New York, John joined Reynolds Metals Company (subsequently Alcoa) in Virginia in 1978 as a pension fund analyst. He soon began his 25-year career trading metals and natural gas until he managed financial trading of commodities. In New Mexico, John worked at TRD as a federal royalty auditor before joining the PRC in 2008.

Cathy A. Townes
State Member, Office of Superintendent of Insurance
Cathy Townes, is a Regulatory Analyst with the Property and Casualty Bureau of the Office of Superintendent of Insurance, as of March 2016. Her duties includes the review and approval of insurance plans to ensure they're in compliance with our Statutes and Regulations. Prior to joining the Property and Casualty Bureau, Ms. Townes was a Compliance Officer in the Managed Health Care Bureau. While in the Managed Health Care Bureau, Ms. Townes also conducted outreach to consumers throughout the State and represented the MHCB on the Consumer Advisory Board at the Presbyterian Health Plan. During this time, Ms. Townes also served as the Native American Tribal Liaison for OSI working with the Tribes to address their concerns and issues related to the implications of the Affordable Care Act (ACA) and Network Adequacy in their communities. These efforts were in support of the State-Tribal Collaboration Act, which provides the framework for the state and tribes to work together.
Ms. Townes began her career in the insurance industry as a Multi-Line Agent with American Family Insurance and later as an Insurance Sales Agent with AIG American General in Ohio between 1998-2006. Ms. Townes is a graduate of The Ohio State University, College of Arts and Sciences with a Bachelors of Fine Arts Degree. Ms. Townes is also a member of the Association of Insurance Compliance Professionals (AICP). AICP is a national organization that services the insurance compliance community by promotion relationships, exchange information and providing learning opportunities within a regulatory environment. The Regional Chapters supplement the work of the national organization with members from Property and Casualty, Life, Annuities and Health Insurers, Regulatory Agencies, Consultants and Product and Service Providers.
Ms. Townes believes in working in a collaborative effort with all PERA Board Members and Staff to best insure the solvency of the PERA plan for all its members.

Ms. Armijo is the Acting General Counsel for the New Mexico Regulation and Licensing Department (RLD). She has been a PERA state member for 16 years, first hired in 2000 as an attorney for the New Mexico Legislature where her work focused on the state’s retirement and investment systems (PERA, ERB, Retiree Healthcare and the State Investment Council).
Later, Ms. Armijo joined the Public Employees Retirement Association, as a staff attorney in the Office of General Counsel. In 2015, Ms. Armijo was recruited by RLD.
Ms. Armijo possess a Juris Doctorate (1999) and a BS, in Business & Management (1993). She is a former small business owner.
Ms. Armijo is committed to serve on the PERA Board with integrity and with a focus on the preservation and growth of the state’s largest retirement fund.

Patrica (Patty) French started her public service career with the City of Albuquerque in 1988. She was elected to the PERA Board in 2005 and is serving her fourth elected term. She served as Board Chair for four consecutive years. She was Chair of the Board when Senate Bill 27 passed the House and Senate with overwhelming bipartisan support and was signed by Gov. Martinez. She lobbied legislators to pass this critical legislation that will benefit New Mexican workers and families for generations to come.
She attended Wichita Business Collect and Central NM Community College majoring in Business Administration and Computer Technology. She was the Records Custodian for the City of Albuquerque Police Department and Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Department for over 10 years. She is currently the Appeal Officer for the Alarm Ordinance for the City of Albuquerque.
She has received the Rio Grande Credit Union Board Financial Literacy Training, Certificate in Public Plan Policy, Certified Investment Institute, International Foundation of Benefit Plan, National Committee Member for National Conference on Public Employee Retirement Systems, and has had extensive fiduciary training.
She is President of Chapter 5 Retired Public Employees of NM. Her name and bio was submitted by two fellow board members for “Government Employee of the Year.” In 2014, she was interviewed and selected to serve Rio Grande Credit Union Supervisor Committee which conducts the audits for the Credit Union.
She has been the Chair of the AFSCME PEOPLE Committee for four years and has been an Executive Board Member of AFSCME Local 3022 for over 10 years. She also served for two years on the State Council Board for AFSCME. She served two years on the City of Albuquerque’s Ethics Coalition Committee. She served as a Corporate Board Member for Saints Harbor Cathedral Embassy Federation.
She was appointed to the Democratic Party State Platform and Rules Committee in 2015. She is currently serving on the Civil Rights Committee, Health Care Committee, Public Safety Committee and is the Chair of the Labor Committee.
Patricia has two sons and a daughter. She states her greatest joy is her grandchildren and her three great grandchildren. Her oldest grandchild has graduated from the University of New Mexico and her youngest grandchildren are a set of one year old twins.

Loretta Naranjo-Lopez is a Native New Mexican. She was elected by the retirees with a majority vote to serve a four year term beginning January 2012. She previously served on the PERA Board for 4 years from 2005 to 2009. Loretta retired as a City of Albuquerque Planner in July 2003. Loretta was also a small business owner and Principal of ARCH + PLAN Land Use Consultants, LLC. Loretta has a Master of Community and Regional Planning and a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of New Mexico.

Maggie Toulouse Oliver

Secretary of State Maggie Toulouse Oliver has spent her career as a public official working for greater transparency and ethics in government, fair and efficient elections, and increased voter access.
First elected in 2016, Secretary of State Toulouse Oliver is focused on providing increased transparency in financial disclosure and campaign finance reporting, modernizing the online campaign finance system, encouraging New Mexicans to get registered and vote, and advocating for good government and stronger ethics legislation.
A lifelong New Mexico resident, Secretary of State Toulouse Oliver previously served as Bernalillo County Clerk from 2007 to 2016. She attended Albuquerque Public Schools and earned both her BA and MA in Political Science from the University of New Mexico. Currently living in Santa Fe, the Secretary of State is the proud mother of two sons.

Tim Eichenberg assumed office on January 1, 2015, becoming the 29th State Treasurer of New Mexico. Raised in Albuquerque, NM he attended Albuquerque Public Schools and graduated from the University of New Mexico. Eichenberg and his wife reside in Albuquerque and have two adult children and two dogs.
Eichenberg's career in public service began in 1974, when he was elected Bernalillo County Treasurer. After serving two terms as Bernalillo County Treasurer, Eichenberg went to work in the private sector. He operated a small business in Albuquerque for over 30 years as a Property Tax Consultant, State Certified Appraiser, General Contractor (GB-98) and as a Real Estate Broker.
In 1994, Eichenberg was elected to the Albuquerque Metropolitan Arroyo Flood Control Authority Board, a position he still holds today. In 2004, Eichenberg was appointed by Governor Richardson to the position of New Mexico State Property Tax Director.
In 2008, Eichenberg was elected to the New Mexico State Senate. During his tenure, Eichenberg served on the Public Affairs and Judiciary committees; and served as Chair of the Restructuring Committee and as Chair of the Revenue Stabilization and Tax Policy Committee. In 2010, Eichenberg carried the Governmental Conduct Act, establishing a code of ethics for all government employees.
